Carl joined Elder’s in March of 1993 and has been our Dallas Bay Store Manager since December of 2001. Elder’s Ace was Carl’s first job! Carl has worked at our Brainerd, Highway 58 and Dallas Bay stores. Lawn & Garden and Power Equipment are Carl’s favorite departments because he says they both offer rewarding challenges each season. Carl fondly remembers Elder assisting him with helping a customer when Carl was just 16 years old. Carl recalls Elder teaching him the easiest and quickest way to read a measuring tape. He also says Elder taught him to always be confident in what he was doing. When asked what he enjoys most about working at Elder’s, Carl said “My favorite thing about working at Elder's is the opportunity to work for a company that has a local background and most importantly to me personally, the opportunity to work and learn from the founder himself, Elder Glenn.” On his off days, Carl likes going fishing, boating, and trying new things on the grill. He enjoys spending time with his family and working around the house and in the yard.
